The Simpsons Movie

I saw the Simpsons movie over the weekend and here are some of my thoughts.

The good:

All the characters were voiced by the same people that did the TV show.

The animations, while different from the TV show, looked great. The backgrounds were much more 3-D.

The beginning of the movie reminded me of the TV show.

Almost all of the supporting characters made an appearance. Side Show Bob and Troy McClure was two prominent ones that didn't appear in the movie.

Greenday drowned in the lake!!

The bad:

The plot was lame. I was hoping that more of the action would take place in Springfield.

Most of the supporting characters didn't have any lines. I think Willy might have had one line the whole time.

Introducing two new characters didn't make a whole lot of sense. The TV show had developed enough characters to support a movie plot.

While there was some funny parts it wasn't laughing-out-loud-the-whole-time funny.

A bunch of little kids in the theater laughing at everything was really annoying.

I would give it three and half stars. 3.5/5

Anybody have any invite for this?

This looks like a really sweet tool. I think that could be a big deal in the phone industry. Imagine being able to have the same phone number forever. You could use it for your cell phone, home phone or even your pager. I think that using something like this would really encourage people to try alternative phone technology like VOIP.

Kwiki Mart

I visited the Kwiki Mart in Seattle. I thought they did a great job with it. My only complaint; they were out of Buzz Cola.

If you're in the area check it out. On Denny St. right next to the Space Needle.
